commonkind is an Australian registered charity dedicated to providing benevolent relief to people and communities suffering from poverty, disadvantage and distress through age-appropriate community service opportunities for children, young people and their families.
Through our programs and community initiatives, we strive to create lasting positive change in eliminating poverty, reducing food insecurity and improving health and wellbeing.
Role of a Board Member:
As a Board Member, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation. You will work alongside other dedicated professionals, providing guidance, governance, and oversight to ensure our initiatives continue to grow and thrive. We are looking for individuals with diverse skills and perspectives who are committed to fostering positive change.
What We Are Looking For:
- Passion for Community Impact: A strong commitment to supporting our mission and improving the lives of those we serve.
- Professional Experience: Expertise in a variety of areas, in particular child safety, law, education, IT, fundraising, child psychology or other relevant sector-specific knowledge.
- Leadership and Strategic Thinking: A collaborative approach to decision-making, with the ability to actively contribute to our long-term vision and strategic planning.
- Dedication: The willingness to dedicate time, energy, and expertise to support the board’s activities and organisational goals.
- Diversity: We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply.
