Child Safety & Wellbeing
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility.
We are committed to being a child safe organisation for all children and young people.
If any person believes a child is at immediate risk of child abuse or harm, telephone 000. |
We have zero tolerance for child abuse and harm.
commonkind is committed to being a child safe organisation – one that proactively creates a culture, adopts strategies and takes action to promote child safety and wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people in accordance with Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld).
We promise to create a safer environment for the children and young people who engage with commonkind. We have a rigorous child safety and wellbeing risk strategy which is embedded in our day-to-day operations and governed by our Board. All representatives of commonkind are vetted and hold current Working With Children Checks (Blue Cards).
Our Charter of Commitment to Children and Young People is listed below. This latest version was refined from consultations and surveys with children, young people, family, volunteers, staff and Board members of commonkind in August/September 2024.
