Mark the history books, tonight our board officially convened for the first time! From its grassroots beginnings at the height of the COVID pandemic in 2020, and operating with impact largely out of our Founder’s garage (!), this year has marked a gradual but strategic move to becoming more official for commonkind.
Since forming the board and adopting a non-profit constitution with aligned objects in April 2024, to more recently submitting our official application to be recognised as a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission, now was time for the Board to officially meet and get down to business.
