The ILP (Intergenerational Learning Programme) allowed for the children’s engagement with people of a different generation and varying abilities. This benefitted the children in their social development and understanding of diversity as it supported them in building their confidence in interacting with others and enhanced the educational offering of our centre. Many of our children do not have family in Australia and it was a wonderful opportunity for them to interact with a wider range of people and get firsthand experience through interactions with their Grandfriends!
