Today is Mother’s Day in Australia. We know that for some, this day can bring conflicting feelings for so many reasons. Whatever your relationship to motherhood, we want to say we see you, value you and are thinking of you.
We also want to honour and say thank you to all of the mothers and mother figures who bring their children to our sessions to support our mission to create a kinder and more connected community.
Mothers supporting Others
We recently held our annual Mother’s Day gift collection for the mothers on the 3rd Space Targeted Family Support Program. This program assists families with children and young people under 18 years (including unborn children) who are in vulnerable situations.
These mums give so much to their own families, in often extremely difficult circumstances so we wanted to continue to show them that they are not forgotten. As in past years, our community was able to provide a beautiful present for each mother. These were delivered by 3rd Space’s dedicated Social Worker.
